How to Determine the Size of a Leather Dog Collar

Use a flexible measuring tape and measure the circumference of your dog’s neck, close to the shoulders. The collar should be snug but comfortable. As a guideline, you should be able to fit two fingers between the collar and the dog's neck. Add up to 5 cm to this measurement to determine the correct collar size. Alternatively, you can measure your dog’s current collar.

The collar you choose should offer enough room around the neck—about one to one and a half centimeters (two fingers side by side).
